This autumn, the award-winning Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art was the venue for the first-ever Radar Tyres dealer event. Representatives from Radar Tyres and Tyre Spot Ltd, the exclusive supplier of the brand across the northeast of England, welcomed key staff and business owners from the area’s network of Radar Dealer Partners to reflect on the brand’s journey, explore exciting future possibilities, and discuss their ongoing commitment to social responsibility.
Attendees gathered in the River View Suite, which provided breathtaking panoramic views of the River Tyne and its iconic Bridges.
The impressive venue was a fitting choice as the Baltic Centre has always encouraged reflection and innovation, two characteristics that are very much a part of Radar Tyres ethos, as highlighted by their latest collaboration with GFG Style. The Italian design powerhouse, fronted by Giorgetto and Fabrizio Giugiaro have been tasked with creating some of the most unique and ground-breaking tread designs ever to hit the industry. The pair have created more than 300 standard production automobile models and more than 200 research prototypes for several OE manufacturers including Aston Martin, BMW, Bugatti, Ferrari, Lotus, Maserati.
The evening commenced with a warm welcome from the Tyre Spot team and, before representatives from Radar got their chance to speak directly to their dealers, there was time for a special guest. Kathryn Jobes, representing the Women’s Cancer Detection Society in Gateshead, delivered an inspiring address to the group, most of whom had already pledged their support for a compelling campaign to raise vital funds through sales of Radar Tyres for the charity. Kathryn’s heartfelt words underscored the profound impact the initiative could have on early cancer detection and the importance of community-driven efforts in creating a brighter, healthier future for women facing breast cancer.
Radar Tyres were next to address the large crowd, presenting their Premium Accessibility brand promise as well as the new Radar 2.0 product lines for 2023/2024. Radar Tyres will be launching 7 new product lines in Summer, All Season, Winter, All Terrain and Mud Terrain segments over the next 12 months. The new ranges have been designed in collaboration with GFG Style. The new product lines have been tested extensively in both the Europe and the US and will fit with its Premium Accessibility brand promise.
Once the presentations had concluded everyone took the short walk across the Millenium bridge to the Tomahawk Steakhouse where they dined on a carefully curated menu. As well as being informative, the event was a huge success giving Radar dealers, supplier and manufacturer, time to get to know each other better and plan the road ahead.
“Tyre Spot is a key partner of Radar Tyres,” says Emil Nakov, VP of Sales Europe. “It was the perfect occasion to show dealers the uniqueness and the value they gain through Tyre Spot and the Radar Tyres brand along with how much we appreciate their business and our strategy for the future”.
In 2023 Radar Tyres launched the new All Terrain and Mud Terrain line ranges in the RENEGADE AT SPORT and RENEGADE X respectively, covering 15-24” fitments. In the Summer segment, Radar Tyres will be introducing the DIMAX ELECTRIC, its first dedicated EV line, followed by the DIMAX SPORT covering 17-20” UHP fitments and the DIMAX SPRINT covering 14-17” fitments.
