Since 2011, Radar Tyres have been in partnership with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). Within that time, Radar have donated over 1.3 million US dollars to the charity funding 27,755 hours of research.
As October is breast cancer awareness month in the UK, Tyre Spot will be following Radar’s lead and running a campaign to raise money for the Women’s Cancer Detection Society (WCDS). The WCDS has been helping women in the north east since the 1960’s. Through their work, they have been able to provide early diagnosis equipment, biopsy systems and ultrasound machines as well as supporting research that helps find a cure and save lives. As a local charity – based in Gateshead – the WCDS was the perfect charitable partner for Tyre Spot to support in this campaign.
The mechanics of the campaign are quite simple, for every Radar tyre purchased in one of our branches during October, Tyre Spot will donate £1 to WCDS. At the end of the month, we will put all funds raised together to give to the charity.
